New York Fashion Week F/W 09
Bodkin: A dagger with a slender blade.
Simple, useful, and well designed, much like the clothing line Bodkin from designer Eviana Hartman. I had the pleasure of going to the Bodkin presentation last week and I was very impressed with what I saw. Almost a less-is-more approach to fashion, with thoughtful details like cut out shoulders and eco dyed fabrics. Simple, useful, and well designed......

Another one of my favorite designers at the moment, Samantha Pleet! She's best known for her one-piece jumpers and in my opinion everything she touches turns to gold.
I was happy to see that she has the beloved cape in her line.
(photo of Samantha Pleet, from samanthapleet.com, unfortunately when I met her at the show my mind went blank and I didn't snap her photo. Ooops!)

New York Fashion Week F/W 09
What a week!
I'm finally recovering from my champagne hangover and I'm ready to post about some shows/presentations I had the pleasure of going to.
First off, and one of my favorites, is Corpus. I love the chunky knit and grungy/preppy mix that's going on in this line. I saw everything from neck ties to flannels wrapped around waists, and somehow the line still looked cohesive. (I have a weakness for neck tattoos also:)
(the gentleman on the right is Keith Richardson, one of the designers of Corpus!)
